2026 Flu Vaccinations at Ngatea Pharmacy

Protect yourself and your whānau this winter with the 2026 flu vaccination, available at Ngatea Pharmacy from 1 April 2026. Annual vaccination is recommended by Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora to protect against the latest influenza strains and reduce the risk of serious illness.

We offer the following flu vaccines:

• Influvac – Funded for eligible patients
  Free for those who meet funding criteria such as people 65 years and over, pregnant people, and individuals with certain long-term conditions (including diabetes and asthma). Check eligibility online.
  If you are not eligible for funding, the cost is $30.00.
  

• Fluad – $50.00
  Recommended for people 50 years and older. Fluad contains an adjuvant (an ingredient that helps boost the immune response), which helps provide stronger protection for older adults whose immune systems may not respond as strongly to standard flu vaccines.
  

• Flucelvax – $45.00
  A cell-based influenza vaccine suitable for adults and children from 6 months of age. It is produced using cell culture technology rather than eggs, helping provide protection against circulating flu strains.
